Meet Amy
Hey!
I’m Amy - a Scottish mum of three, certified Life Coach and EFT practitioner with over 6 years of running businesses in the online space.
My business journey started just before covid (remember that!) when I took a chance on a British network marketing company for luxury skincare. I had no idea it would lead me here all these years later!
Before entering business - I had a varied career and never quite felt like I was in the right place. After school (and my parents informing me that they didn’t think ‘actress’ was a great life and career plan) I did my honours in Scots Law at Stirling University. When I graduated, it was the middle of the banking crisis and solicitors were being made redundant, and I stepped out of University instead of completing my diploma, and started working in reception for a startup. Soon afterwards, I would fall pregnant with my first daughter, Mia, and be made redundant.
Following this - I started temping at various businesses before settling at a charity in Perth, where I would start my HR career. Moving up through the career ladder, I found a world of learning, communication and supporting people. I loved it, and would then move into the legal field as a legal assistant in the conveyancing department (which I also loved!)
But what does all of this have to do with voice activation and visibility coaching?
I’ll tell you.
On the surface of life - everything looked great. During my time as a legal assistant, I fell pregnant with my second daughter. And when I returned to work, I knew that something wasn’t right. When I returned from maternity, things were different. I could no longer work the extended hours, my role had changed and something in me knew that I needed change.
And that came in the opportunity to start my own business on the side. The moment I sold that first moisturiser - everything changed.
Even though I had carved out a successful career - I was struggling on the inside with confidence, self worth and perfectionism. I was burning out trying to do and be everything to everyone.
I was exhausted emotionally from being a door mat in all my relationships.
The business gave me the freedom to be myself, to grow and heal and change.
And it all started with using my voice. Commanding more from life. Feeling worthy of more than bare minimum.
After growing a successful business and team - I found coaching as I moved my business from face to face to the online space. And I was immediately hooked. I trained as a life coach and started growing my business.
After a couple of years - I started getting asked the same question over and over again.

And Ameli Coaching was born, which has now evolved into the Solas Voice you see today. ‘Solas’ meaning ‘light’ in Gaelic.
I knew that I was able to help women get past the same struggles that I had encountered - lack of self belief, fear, wounds and self stories that prevented expansive action for business. I knew that the fear and wounds and conditioning that had suffocated me for years was impacting other women in the same way, and I started creating programmes and communities where women could thrive as their authentic self and shift their identity into a woman who is fully expressed, valued and visible to the world.
We live in a world where you can make money from growing a business on free platforms - but if you fear being seen, felt and heard you miss the opportunity to change your entire life. This is what the online space has done for me.
Alongside mentoring and coaching my clients - you will find me hosting the Beyond Enough podcast showcasing the authentic voices of women choosing more for themselves and their lives.
Every voice has a place - and with the ever changing landscape of the world, I believe in helping women carve out their own meaningful and impactful space without sacrificing their heart and soul.
I have included my career history here as a reminder that I didn’t wake up one day and have it all figured out. My whole life has been a journey of learning how to communicate, run a business with a traditional model, an online model, how to pivot and how to effectively use the online space and real life to grow a business - and this is why I can help you with yours.
